Havana, Sep 20 (Prensa Latina) The US blockade on Cuba, imposed for almost 60 years, has caused losses to the island of over 138.843 billion dollars at current prices, an official source denounced on Thursday.
From April 2018 to March 2019, Washington's economic war against the island caused damages amounting to 4.343 billion dollars, highlighted Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca in a tweet.
'Just how much more could we do if they let us be?' the minister stressed.
Namibia, September 20th, 2019- The Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, H.E. Christine //Hoebes heads the Namibian delegation that will participate in the VI African Continental Conference of Solidarity with Cuba. The regional meeting will be held in Abuja, Nigeria, from September 23rd to 25th.
A delegation composed of Dr. Mayda Mauri, Vice-President of BIOCUBAFARMA and Dr. Rafael Pérez Cristia, Director-General of the State Centre for Drug Control, made a working visit to Doha, invited by the Qatari Ministry of Public Health, the 15-18 of this month. The delegation developed an extensive program that included meetings and interviews with the Qatari Minsap, with drug regulatory authorities and production companies.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf has received a message sent by his Cuban counterpart, H.E. Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
The message was conveyed to the Saudi Foreign Minister by the Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mr. Orlando Requeijo Gual, during an audience conceded on Wednesday, September 18th, 2019, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ headquarters in Jeddah.
Wellington, September 19th, 2019. The chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Trade of the New Zealand parliament, Simon O'Connor, received the Cuban Ambassador Mario Alzugaray at Parliament House and confirmed New Zealand's interest in deepening ties and areas of cooperation with Cuba.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged on various issues of international affairs, as well as the state of bilateral relations and the interest of both nations in promoting greater exchanges.
