Embassy of Cuba received students from the University of Leiden
The Hague, 22 of August 2019.The Third Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Katia Aruca Chaple, received on August 22 a group of students from the University of Leiden, as part of the HOP Introduction Week (Hague Orientation Program).
The annual gathering of Cuban residents in Denmark took place in Aarhus on 31 August. The Cuban Ambassador, Yiliam Gómez Sardiñas and the Consul, Ares Valdés Acea, attended the meeting where participated almost 100 Cuban residents with their families, including their descendants from different regions of the Nordic country.
The President of the Zimbabwe Senate, Hon. Mabel Chinomona, left to Cuba on Saturday, August 31, leading a parliamentary delegation that includes senators and officials of Parliament. During the visit, which will run until September 6, the delegation of the Parliament of Zimbabwe will be received by the National Assembly of People's Power, will visit different historical places and deepen the inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.

Vatican City, September 2, 2019. The Archbishop of San Cristobal de La Habana, Monsignor Juan de la Caridad Garcia Rodriguez, will be proclaimed Cuba's new cardinal on October 5, announced Pope Francis.
The Supreme Pontiff reported on the upcoming College of Cardinals in the Vatican and announced the names of the new Cardinals this Sunday, after the Angelus prayer in St. Peter's Square.
Garcia Rodriguez replaced Cardinal Jaime Ortega, who recently passed away, as archbishop of the archdiocese of San Cristobal de La Habana in 2016.
