I would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Mayor of the city of Vienna, for the donation of 10 urban solid waste collection trucks, in the framework of the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the city of Havana.

The historic cooperation between Havana and Vienna is strengthened with this significant donation, which will contribute to make the Cuban capital a cleaner, more real and wonderful city.

The journey to Havana of the 10 trucks which collect solid urban waste, donated by the city of Vienna to the Cuban capital, begins as part of the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the Foundation of the village of San Cristóbal de La Habana.

The farewell ceremony was organized by the Viennese administration, in one of the facilities in charge of waste management, street cleaning and the vehicle fleet.

The Honorable Sara Flood Beaubrun, Minister with responsibility for foreign affairs of Saint Lucia attended this weekend the V Biannual General Meeting of the Humanistic Association of Solidarity Cuba-Saint Lucia, dedicated on this occasion to the 40th anniversary of the establishment of relations bilateral between both countries. In her speech, the Minister highlighted the history of friendship and solidarity between the two nations.

The Humanistic Solidarity Association Cuba-Santa Lucia held last Saturday its V Biannual General Meeting, which was dedicated on this occasion to the 40th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries, held on August 23. As a result of the meeting, a new executive committee of the organization was elected, leading which was ratified as President Marlene Alexander. During his speech Marlene reiterated the invariable position of solidarity and friendship with Cuba and against the US blockade.

Vargas Walter, was received by the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in this Caribbean nation, H.E. Mr. Huang Qinguo. During the fraternal meeting both diplomats exchanged on the areas of mutual cooperation. They also talked about the historical ties that unite the peoples of Cuba and China.
