Nassau, 22 August 2019. In a cordial and respectful environment, a meeting of the Cuban Ambassador, Ismara M. Vargas Walter and new officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this Caribbean nation took place a few days ago in The Bahamas. The meeting was part of the training program developed by the aforesaid Ministry. The diplomat highlighted the historical links, as well as the achievements made in 45 years of diplomatic relations between Cuba and The Bahamas, officially initiated on 30 November 1974.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Jamaica, H.E Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, held a fruitful exchange with the Undersecretary for Bilateral, Regional and Hemispheric Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica, Ambassador Alison Stone-Roofe, today at the Ministry’s premises.

We have known that on August 23 will be held the Funeral of Dr. Winston Thomas, a dear friend of Cuba; We join their family and friends in this moment of pain and wish to transfer our deepest condolences.

Dr. Thomas, is a graduate of our country, and from his return to Grenada was joined the Solidarity Movement, and was an active member in strengthening the brotherhood ties that unite our peoples. In unconditional support to Cuba, he permanently condemned the US blockade policy on our country.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. August 22, 2019. With the presence of the accredited diplomatic corps in Ulaanbaatar and authorities of the University of Medical Sciences, the United Dental Clinic stomatology clinic was inaugurated this afternoon.

With the presence of professionals of stomatology from Cuba who will work in this institution, the ribbon was cut to officially began the provision of the services at this health institution.

The Cuban group Teatro Tuyo made a performance of the theater piece “Gris” in Copenhagen on August 20, as part of the cultural exchange currently in progress by Denmark and Sweden. Danish public of different ages were able to appreciate the original and creative performance of the members of this theater group from Las Tunas directed by Ernesto Parra, specialized in the clown technique.

CZECH REPUBLIC, August 20th, 2019. - The magazine “Czech and Slovak Leaders”, which focuses on interviews with the main leaders and high-level events, dedicated the period from April to July, among others, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic and Diplomatic Activities. In this sense, was divulged the Ceremony of the XXIV Edition of the Ibero-American Prize, held on April 10th and sponsored by the Ibero-American Embassies.

NAY PYI TAW, August 21, 2019.- The Minister of Health and Sports of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Dr. Myint Htwe, welcomed the concurrent ambassador of Cuba, Héctor Conde Almeida.

In the cordial meeting the good path of bilateral relations was confirmed and the mutual will to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between both nations was reiterated.

The Cuban ambassador to Zimbabwe, Carmelina Ramírez, met this morning with Ambassador James Manzou, Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the brother country, to coordinate matters relevant to the bilateral agenda between the two countries. During the meeting they touched on topics such as the status of collaboration and the preparation of the different visits of delegations between both countries scheduled for this second half of the year. The meeting was held under an affectionate climate, which characterizes the historical relations between both nations.
