Cuba understands the obligations of the government of Canada to protect its diplomatic personnel posted anywhere in the world and to try to find answers to the health symptoms reported in Cuba, however, it considers that Canada´s decision made public today is incomprehensible.

Cutting Canada´s staff at its Embassy in Cuba and adjusting the mission´s programs are actions that do not help find answers to the health symptoms reported by Canadian diplomats, and which will have an impact on the relations.

Lighting the night to recall Martí.

Azerbaijani media publish about the state of relations between Cuba and Azerbaijan

The Azertac press agency and the TV-portal Azvision.az published today two exclusive interviews offered to each media by the Ambassador of Cuba in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, on the occasion of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 166th birthday of the National Hero, José Martí.

Both media highlighted the state of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Azerbaijan, as well as the life and work of the revolutionary leaders, José Martí Pérez and Fidel Castro Ruz.

Cuba and Slovenia continue strengthening the relations at the highest level

Ljubljana, 30 January 2019. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Slovenia, His Excellency, Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios held a meeting with the highest authorities of this country: the President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Borut Pahor; the Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Marjan Šarec; the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Miro Cerar; and other representatives of the State and Government, in the margins of the New Year´s reception which took place at Brdo Congress Center of Ljubljana, the capital of the European country.
