Celebration in Thailand for the 59th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution

Organized by the Embassy of Cuba in Thailand, on December 29, 2017, a solemn and joyful celebration took place in Bangkok for the 59th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, on January 1, 2018, and the advent in 2018 of the 150th Anniversary of the beginning of the War of Independence of the largest of the Antilles.

Cuba has contributed to the formation of thousands of young Africans, says Cuban ambassador to Ghana

In an interview for the African Youth Time television program, the Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Mr. Pedro L. Despaigne González said that the most important capital for any country is the trained human resource that is possessed.

To the questions asked by the host, Ms. Naana Owusu Ansah, the Ambassador explained the elements that have led to educational development in Cuba, as well as the contribution made by the Caribbean country in training more than 29 thousand young Africans, Ghana having tangible examples in the ten regions of the country.

The 57th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Vietnam is celebrated in Ulan Bator.

Ulaanbaatar, December 23, 2017. The Ambassadors of the Republic of Cuba Raúl Delgado Concepción and of the R. S. of Vietnam Doan Thi Huong, commemorated this morning in the city of Ulan Bator the 57th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries. Present at the celebration were former Mongol ambassadors who worked for a few years in Cuba and Vietnam, the Deputy Director General of the Department of America, the Middle East and Africa of the Mongolian Chancellor D.

Paying tribute to Cuba’s legendary leader the late Fidel Castro, International Relations Officer of the Cuban Communist Party Jose Ramon Balaguer Cabrera has called on Caribbean people to unite.
Giving an insight on Castro’s life during a seminar hosted by the Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union in San Fernando on Tuesday, Balaguer said people could not study the 20th century and the present millennium, without the thought and work of Castro.

Danish Solidarity donates funds for the recovery of the damages caused by Hurricane Irma in Cuba

Members of the Danish solidarity groups handed over a symbolic donation check toga the Embassy of Cuba in Denmark on December 22, which reflects the total value they will send to Cuba for contributing to the recovery process of the damages caused by Hurricane Irma. Representatives of the Danish-Cuban Association of Friendship, the "Patria Grande" group and solidary friends from the Danish city of Roskilde gathered to hand over the check totaling 40 thousand Danish crowns (approximately USD 6350 ) to the Cuban Ambassador in that country, Yiliam Gómez Sardiñas.
