Dunedin, July 18th, 2019. Friends of Cuba in this city of New Zealand ratified their condemnation of the escalation in the US economic war against Cuba and restated their solidarity with the people of the Caribbean island.
These expressions of support took place within the framework of a meeting with the Cuban ambassador, Mario Alzugaray, who visited the southern New Zealand city as part of a program that had as its focus the inauguration of the exhibition of photographs “Cuba through Kiwi eyes ”, which will remain for two weeks at the Business School of the University of Otago.
A representation of the organizations and personalities that make up the Solidarity Movement with Cuba in Ghana participated in the political-cultural activity commemorating the 66th Anniversary of the actions of July 26. Among the attendees were: the acting National Chairman of the Convention People's Party (CPP), Hajia Hamdatu Ibrahim; the presidential candidate for that party in the 2016 elections, Dr. Ivor Kobina Greenstreet; the Professor Albie Walls, leader of the All African People’s Revolutionary Party (A-APRP).

During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat highlighted the importance that Cuba attaches to links with New Zealand, based on respect and mutual trust. He also underlined the positive cooperation links that the two nations have developed in recent years, emphasizing the agreement for the training in English language of Cuban doctors destined for the Pacific Islands.
Dunedin – With a total of 80 photographs, kicked off the two-week photo exhibition “Cuba through Kiwi Eyes”, having the Business School of the University of Otago as its venue. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Ambassador of Cuba, Mario Alzugaray and the dean of the Business School, Robin Gauld.
On July 22nd, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. from the Embassy of Cuba in Egypt, Jorge Mazón Rodríguez, and the Administrative Attaché, Leyda Machado Oramas, took part in the celebration of the First Edition of the International Students’ Day in the University of the Suez Canal, in Ismailia, under the slogan “Together in Suez Canal University.”
Diplomatic representations from different countries also participated in the event, which received the University's shield from its Principal Prof. Dr. Tarek R. Rahmy.
Caracas, July 20. Cuba will ratify its commitment to multilateralism at the ministerial meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement (Mnoal), Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said Saturday.
The Cuban Foreign Minister, in Twitter, stressed the willingness of the Cuban delegation to work for 'the establishment of a democratic, just and equitable international order that responds to the demand for peace, sustainable development and justice of our people.
