Cuban Ambassador participates in the launching of a new ¨Yes, I Can¨ literacy campaign in aboriginal communities of Australia

Canberra, April 26, 2019 - A new literacy campaign with the Cuban method "Yes I Can" was launched in the Aboriginal community of Santa Teresa, Northern Territory, central region of Australia. This campaign, which has the advice of Cuban specialists, is implemented by the Australian Literacy for Life Foundation.

Mayor of Wellington confirms support for Latin American and Spanish film Festival

Wellington. – In a meeting with the Ambassadors of GRULAC and Spain, the mayor of Wellington, Justin Lester, confirmed the support of the City Council for the 18th edition of the Latin America and Spain Film Festival (LASFF by its Spanish acronym).

LASFF is a non-profit cultural event that aims to promote Latin American and Spanish culture through its cinematographic production. This festival is presented in a dozen cities and enjoys a great reception throughout the country.

Jamaican physician thanks Cuba for her training

Dr. Kamille Goulbourne-Anderson, who graduated as a Doctor of Medicine in Santiago de Cuba, expressed her gratitude to Cuba for her professional training as a doctor.

During a meeting organized at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission with young Jamaicans interested in pursuing university studies in the Largest Island in the Greater Antilles, Dr. Kamille Goulbourne-Anderson, who graduated as a Doctor of Medicine in Santiago de Cuba, expressed her gratitude to Cuba for her professional training as a doctor.

Cuban Ambassador takes part in ANZAC Day National Ceremony

Wellington, April 25th, 2019. Cuban Ambassador Mario Alzugaray Rodríguez took part in the National Commemoration Ceremony for ANZAC Day, which was presided by Governor General, Dame Patsy Reddy and Finance Minister Grant Robertson.

This year's commemorations have been marked by the impact of recent terrorist attacks on Christchurch, from which Kiwi leaders have emphasized the messages of unity and effort to reach a more inclusive and kind society.

The Cuban Embassy in Czech Republic participated in School Poetry Contest

Czech Republic, Abril 25th, 2019. – The Cuban Embassy in Prague participated, as every year, in the VIII School Poetry Contest "In words of the poet", in the School of International Grammar and Public Relations of Prague. The Cuban ambassador visited Czech company​​​​​​​ Papírna Moudrý

REPÚBLICA CHECA, April  24th, 2019. The Cuban ambassador, Danilo Alonso and his wife, Tamara Acosta, visited the Czech company Papírna Moudrý in the city of Brno, specialized in the manufacture of ecological insecticides and rodenticides.
They were received by its general director, Libor Moudrý, and allowed to know that this entity has an interest in establishing commercial relations with Cuban companies (Cubaminrex-Embacuba República Checa).
