Cuba, April 25, 2019. - At a press conference at the headquarters of the Cuban chancellery, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, said that this morning was dawning with the news from the State Department of the update of the so-called list of sanctioned Cuban companies that number around 200, in which 5 new ones are included.
He recalled that the US national security adviser John Bolton said on April 17 that "together we can finish what started on those beaches - Playa Girón - and that the Monroe Doctrine is alive and well. "No one should forget that the Monroe Doctrine has historically been associated with the use of force by US imperialism in Latin America and the Caribbean," he said.
Addis Ababa, April 25, 2019. The Cubans working in Ethiopia --including the personnel of the Diplomatic Mission-- and the residing community signed in support of the Statement of the Revolutionary Government of Cuba published the 17 April on the announcement of the US government to implement by May 2nd, 2019, the Title III of the Helms-Burton Act.
The participants in the gathering also expressed their views by poetry in rejection of the above mentioned punishing measures.

The Swedish-Cuban Association condemns the US Government’s stepped up aggressiveness against Cuba
and other sovereign nations in Latin America.
• We condemn President Trump and his ministers’ declarations that the 1823 Monroe Doctrine shall be
brought to life, i.e. Latin America shall once again be the backyard of the USA.
• We condemn that the US Government is applying chapter III of its illegal extraterritorial Helms-Burton law
The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Azerbaijan, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, held a working meeting with the director of the Directorate of the Americas of the Azeri Foreign Ministry, Anar Janahmadov, at the headquarters of this Ministry.
During the cordial meeting both parties exchanged about the bilateral relationship and ways to boost cooperation between both countries.
Likewise, they discussed various current issues on the Latin American regional agenda.
NIGERIA, April 24, 2019. On the night of April 23, marked as the World Book and Copyright Day, the launch of the book "Poetry and Sayings Yoruba" by the poet was held at the Residence of the Spanish Ambassador. and Nigerian writer Ade Akinfenwa.
The activity was attended by all the Yoruba priests of the federal capital, the chairman of the local government of Alimosho, belonging to the Lagos state, Yoruba intellectuals, some ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps.
