Cuba and Rwanda evaluate cooperation possibilities in health

Rwanda, October 24, 2018.- During a meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health of Rwanda, at six o'clock yesterday afternoon, Cuban Ambassador in that country Antonio Luis Pubillones Izaguirre and the Minister of State for Public Health and Primary Care, Dr. Patrick Ndimubanzi, evaluated the perspectives of cooperation in health between their respective countries.

The Minister of State praised the high quality of the health system of the island and expressed his interest in having in his country the services of Cuban professionals in the field in the near future.

Cuba and Rwanda examining prospects for strengthening bilateral relations

Rwanda, October 23, 2018.- The new permanent secretary of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Urujeni Bakuramutsa, received the Cuban Ambassador in the East African country, Antonio Luis Pubillones Izaguirre, at the Foreign Ministry's headquarters this morning. Within the framework of a friendly and cordial meeting, both diplomats examined the current state of bilateral relations, as well as their prospects for strengthening them, and showed the interest of their respective governments to work forward to realize their wishes.

“Cuba builds its future” Exhibit at the United Nations.

New York, October 23, 2018. The Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations, inaugurated today the exhibit "Cuba builds its future," which shows the work of Cubans and the achievements of the Revolution, despite the criminal economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States against the island, a vile policy of the US government that flagrantly violates the human rights of the Cuban people.

Havana City Historian Eusebio Leal will receive a tribute in New York.

New York, 23 October 2018.  The Historian of the City of Havana, Dr. Eusebio Leal Spengler, is in New York following an invitation from the World Monuments Fund.

The invitation has been extended to pay tribute to Dr. Leal for his extraordinary work in the conservation of Cuba's architectural and artistic heritage. The tribute gala will be held this evening.

Visit to the Museum of Working Class History in Blackball

Blackball, October 22, 2018. Third Secretary Saimin Fis Abad paid a visit to the city of Blackball, birthplace of the Labor Party in New Zealand.

The diplomat was received by known filmmaker and activist, Paul Maunder, director of the Museum of the Working Class, who explained not only the history of this mining city, located in the West Coast Region, but also, the details of the activities for the First of May and the seminar on the perspectives of development in the mining area of the region, which is held every year.

Cuba and The Bahamas strengthen their ties in the partisan sphere.

The Bahamas, 21 October 2018. At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CCPCC), a delegation of the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP), the main opposition party in The Bahamas visited Cuba from October 17 to 20. On this occasion, the Bahamian delegation was led by Philip Brave Davis, leader of the PLP and former Deputy Prime Minister of the Caribbean nation.

Bahamian press highlights events for the Cuban culture week.

Nassau, 21 October 2018. With the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture of The Bahamas, the University of The Bahamas and the Embassy of Cuba in this Caribbean nation, the Cuban culture week was held in Nassau. The participation in these events of the National Director of Culture of The Bahamas, Rowena Poitier, as well as other prestigious representatives of the Bahamian culture was an outstanding element of these events.
