Meetings in Cuba to Boost Links among Caribbean States

Havana, Mar 7 (Prensa Latina) The meetings of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), which will be held soon in this capital, will allow tightening relations and boost cooperation among the regional countries.
According to Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra, these meetings will be spaces to analyze the opportunities for collaboration, foster competitiveness among the economies of the member countries of those blocs and discuss the common challenges to consolidate shared development.

Banjul, 28 February 2017.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Honorable A. N. M. Ousainou Darboe, received the ambassador of Cuba, Lazaro Herrera Martinez in February 28 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia.

In a cordial and friendly atmosphere both parties exchanged on the state of bilateral relations, the possibilities of expansion to other areas of common interest and willingness to move forward in that sense.

Dominica, Roseau, March 5, 2016. Cuban ambassador to Dominica, Juan Carlos Frómeta, participated in the Mass celebrated in this capital in honor of the 4th anniversary of the death of Commander Hugo Chavez. At Mass, officiated in the Church Our Lady of Fatima, also participated the President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, S.E. Charles Savarin, members of the Cabinet of Government, of the Diplomatic Corps, as well as resident Dominicans.

Cuba congratulates Ghana on its 60th Anniversary of Independence

On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the independence of Ghana, the President of the Councils of State and of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, H.E Raúl Castro Ruz, has sent a message of congratulation to President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The message of the Cuban President is an example of the relationships between Cuba and Ghana, established in 1959 by two anti colonialist fighters, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro.
