Trade unions and social groups in New Zealand shows interest in Cuban experience

Blackball, 1st of may 2016.- On the occasion May Day celebration and as part of a seminar to discuss the prospects for development in the mining area of the West Coast, social and trade union groups showed its appreciation for the consultation mechanisms established in Cuba, as part of the process of implementation of major economic and social policies.

Visit of the ICAP official to New Zealand strengthens solidarity with Cuba.

Wellington, April 27th 2016.- During a meeting held yesterday with visiting ICAP official Yexenia Calzado to New Zealand, members of Cuba Friendship Society in Wellington have ratified their solidarity commitment with Cuba, stressing the need for increased actions linked to the demand of a complete lifting of the United States blockade.

THE WORK TIES OF THE EMBASSY, THE CUBAN MEDICAL BRIGADE AND THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH IN SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES REINFORCE

 On the occasion of the change of the head of the Cuban medical Brigade in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Ambassador Vilma Reyes organized, at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission, a work lunch with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Environment of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the outgoing head of the Medical Brigade, BSC Dr. Clara Elsie González and the new head of the Medical Brigade, Dr. Hilda Ponce.

Leaders of Trade Unions and Indian Communist Parties will participate in May Day in Cuba.

Once again, the Indian solidarity movement reaffirmed its support for Cuba after confirming that two of his trade union leaders and members of the Communist parties of India will be present in our country on the occasion of May Day 2016 and to celebrate the 57th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution & 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the Cuban Workers` Trade Union Central (CTC) answering an invitation of this Cuban institution.

From 16 to 19 April was held in Havana, the 7th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, coinciding with two significant historical events for the Cuban people: first the 55th anniversary of the Bay of Pig Victory - an armed aggression, financed and organized by the government of John. F. Kennedy in 1961 to topple from its inception the genuinely revolutionary process and second, the proclamation of the socialist character of the Cuban Revolution; just a few hours before combating the aforementioned invasion.

In the framework of the activity, organized by the Embassy of Cuba, to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the victory of Giron, the Friendship Association of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines-Cuba, issued a statement in which, referring to the epic of Giron, points out that, in what has perhaps been the greatest rejection of an invading force in the Western Hemisphere during the 20th century, the young Cuban revolutionaries, who had taken power, just two years earlier, mobilized and led the people to definitely defeat the invading force.

THE 55TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE VICTORIA OF GIRON IS COMMEMORATED IN ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES.

With a combative and patriotic activity at the Cuban diplomatic headquarters, the Vincentian Government authorities, the Association of friendship San Vicente-Cuba, the Association of Vincentian graduates in Cuba and Cuban residents Association, commemorated the 55th anniversary of the first defeat of imperialism in America.
