Odisha, 21 August 2025- The Cuban Ambassador to India, Juan Carlos Marsán, and the First Secretary, Maiky Díaz Pérez, participated in the launch of the biographical book about Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, "100 Years With Fidel," written in Odia tongue by Cuba´s friend Bijay Kumar Padhihari, Secretary General of the Indian Association for Cultural Exchange and Friendship (ISCUF).
Kingston, 21 August 2025. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, and officials from the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information of Jamaica welcomed 15 new Cuban teachers at Norman Manley International Airport, who will join schools in different regions of the island starting next September.
The Executive Director of the Liberian NGO Against Disinformation and Misinformation (CAMDL), Mr. Taweh Johnson, was received by Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Arguelles at the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.
CAMDL, presents on the regional stage and with international ties such as ECOSOC and UNESCO, defends the human right to receive and provide truthful information, as an essential foundation for peace and stability in any country.
Pretoria, August 22, 2025.- The Cuban Embassy in South Africa commemorated the 65th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) with a hearfelt political and cultural event. Tribute was paid to the organization's historic leader, Vilma Espín, and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz was also remembered, who always advocated and fought for the rights of Cuban women.
