Both diplomats highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations. The Grenadian official wished the Cuban diplomat every success.

In the friendly meeting, the Grenadian leader welcomed the Cuban representative and wished her success in her new role. Both sides acknowledged the positive state of political and cooperative relations and reviewed the status of agreements signed in recent years.
Paris, 3 March 2026. — The Permanent Delegation of Cuba to UNESCO held a working exchange with Guilherme Canela de Souza Godoi, Director of the Division for Digital Inclusion, Policies and Digital Transformation of the Communication and Information Sector of the Organization. During the meeting, Laura Alvarez Delgado, Third Secretary of the Permanent Delegation of Cuba to UNESCO, outlined the complex situation facing the country as a result of the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States, and its direct impact on the development of the communication and information sector.
In particular, she denounced the effects of the executive order signed on 29 January by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, which reinforces the energy blockade against the Island by hindering its access to fuel, with severe consequences for connectivity, technological infrastructure and the functioning of essential services related to information and communication. The diplomat described these measures as coercive in nature, with effects amounting to collective punishment against the Cuban population, and warned about the persistence of hostile rhetoric and threats that further aggravate the pressure scenario against the country.
St. George, March 3, 2026 – Ambassador Yadirys Echenique Paz presented her Copy of Credentials to the Honourable Joseph Andall, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development of Grenada, on Tuesday, officially appointing her as Cuba's ambassador to the Caribbean island.
During the meeting, the Grenadian Foreign Minister welcomed the Cuban diplomat and highlighted the positive political and cooperative relations between the two countries.
This morning, the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Aramis Fuente Hernández.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of common interest related to relations between both countries and their parliaments, as well as the complex situation in various regions of the world, with particular emphasis on the events in the Middle East that threaten international peace and stability.
The Attorney General's Office is overseeing the criminal proceedings initiated by the Specialized Criminal Investigation Unit for Crimes against State Security of the Ministry of the Interior to investigate the attempted infiltration of the national territory that occurred on the morning of February 25 in the northern part of Villa Clara province, with the aim of carrying out terrorist acts.
