On Wednesday morning, political science students at Leiden University in the Netherlands held a wide-ranging discussion on Cuban foreign policy, its principles, values, and history, as well as the current challenges facing the Greater Antilles. The Second Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands, Ana María Ortega Báez, participated in the discussion.
On the 99th anniversary of the birth of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz, a photographic exhibition of the Commander inaugurated, immortalizing his historic figure and showcasing his visits to Canada.

Doctor in Sciences María del Carmen Domínguez, head of the Autoimmunity and Inflammation project of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Cuba, presented in plenary session of the 19th World Congress of Immunology the Cuban experience in the research of autoimmune diseases, particularly rheumatoid arthritis.
This project that the scientist directs generated the development of Jusvinza, a drug registered for this pathology and which had an emergency authorization in our country for the treatment of severe forms of COVID-19.
Vienna, Aug. 19. The Cuban film “Buscando a Casal” (2019) will open the Ibero-American Film Nights in Vienna, a festival organized by the Cervantes Institute of Vienna, on September 23.
In its promotional program, the organizers expressed the desire that the Austrian public, and in particular Spanish-speaking residents, come during the four days of the festival to enjoy samples of the filmography of countries such as Cuba, Mexico, Uruguay and Ecuador.
