As part of the activities to commemorate the 99th anniversary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro and kicking off the centenary celebrations, embassy officials visited the University of Pretoria to remember the life of Fidel, the leader, the strategist, the visionary, but also the human being, the revolutionary, the man of solidarity.
Cuban painter Joel Rafael Oliva Solano was received at the Cuban Consulate General in Toronto. He is holding a solo exhibition titled Androgynes, which will be on display from July 18 to August 28 at ArtScape Youngplace. The opening took place on July 23 and was attended by members of the Consulate.

Discussions focused on the relevance of his thinking, his example and leadership, not only for Cuba, but for the world.

Although we in Sri Lanka belong to different nationalities, we are shaped by Sinhala Buddhist civilization. Societies do not remain static; in facing challenges, they inevitably open to others, adopting experiences and traits from external cultures as their own.
August 13, 2025 marks the 99th anniversary of the birth of Fidel Castro, an emblematic figure of the Cuban Revolution and a symbol of anti-imperialist resistance. Although Cuba and Pakistan are thousands of miles apart, their bilateral relationship has been marked by gestures of solidarity and cooperation in which the Commander-in-Chief's influence has been decisive. His memory lives on in Pakistan as the moral architect of a bond guided by the values of sovereignty, equality, and mutual non-intervention, and cemented by concrete examples of selfless aid and active diplomacy.
Canberra, 13 August 2025 – The Cuban ambassador to Australia, Tanieris Diéguez La O, participated in the launch of the Venezuelan film Alí Primera, a moving tribute to the iconic Venezuelan singer and composer, held at the Australian National University (ANU).
The event, organized by the Venezuelan Embassy, marked a significant moment of solidarity and cultural cooperation between Latin American nations and Australia.

An audiovisual presentation was shown during the event on the important role played by the "Fidel Castro Ruz Center" in disseminating Fidel's work and thought, as well as the history of the Cuban Revolution.
