President Díaz-Canel convenes G 77 plus China Summit in Havana
The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, in his capacity as President Pro Tempore of the G-77 + China Group, has issued a call for the Summit of Heads of State and Government under the theme "Current Development Challenges: Role of Science, Technology and Innovation", on September 15 and 16, 2023, in Havana.
According to a message posted Wednesday morning on his Twitter account, the Head of State said that "the occasion should serve to strengthen our unity and decide on collective and practical actions in the effective confrontation of contemporary challenges".
Ambassador of Cuba visits the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Oslo Metropolitan University
Oslo, June 14, 2023. The Cuban ambassador to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, visited the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet).
The diplomat was received by Hedda B. Nyhus, assistant professor and international academic coordinator of the Department of Nursing and Health Promotion, as well as by Elisabeth Sørbø Haug, international coordinator of the Section for Academic Affairs and Internationalization.
Cuban Ambassador exchanges with the Head of the Section for Nature and Climate of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation
Oslo, June 13, 2023. The ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, held a fruitful meeting with Lars Andreas Lunde, head of the Section for Nature and Climate, Department of Climate and Environment, of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).
Both exchanged about the main lines of work of that organizational unit of NORAD and the possibilities of collaboration in the areas of its competence.
Norwegian Social Work students from the Norwegian University of Stavanger conclude their work practices in Havana
Oslo, June 11, 2023. In a note posted on its Facebook profile, the Division of Humanitarian Affairs of the Office of the Historian of Havana informed that a simple but moving ceremony was held at the ancient Belen Convent, to mark the end of the work practices of a group of 6 students from the Norwegian University of Stavanger.
For six months they were accompanying the work of Belen and promoting their own initiatives for the elderly and also for boys and girls in the Children's House and the museum classrooms.
For them it was a period of learning and awareness.
