Cuban wrestlers again in Norway for training sessions
Oslo, January 9, 2024. The Cuban Greco-Roman wrestlers Yosvani Peña Flores (77 Kg), Daniel Gregorich Echavarría (87 Kg) and Oscar Pino Hinds (130 Kg), under the guidance of the outstanding coach Raúl Trujillo Díaz, perform these days training sessions in Norway in view of this year's first Ranking Series event of the discipline, which will take place in the coming days in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

Today, January 1st, we mark the 65th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban Revolution. This day in 1959 Fidel Castro and his comrades organized in the 26/7 movement succeeded in overthrowing the Batista dictatorship.
Statement from the Rødt Party of Norway condemning the US blockade and the inclusion of Cuba on the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism
Rødt strongly condemns the terrorist label and the illegal blockade of the United States against Cuba.
An overwhelming majority of UN member states voted in favor of the UN resolution asking for the lifting of the illegal US blockade against Cuba. 187 countries voted in favor, including Norway. The United States and Israel were the only countries to vote against the resolution.

Oslo, December 20, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, attended a Christmas reception organized by the Section for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
Anne Heidi Kvalsøren, director of the Section, and her team shared a nice time with the GRULAC Heads of Mission and their deputies. Representatives from other divisions of the MFA, as well as from other Norwegian entities were also present.
It was an excellent opportunity to exchange on the most important events in 2023 and the main lines of action for 2024.
