Cubans in Norway took part in the referendum on the new Family Code
Oslo, September 18th, 2022. After the official constitution of the electoral bureau and the signing by its members of the corresponding oath, at 07:00 a.m., the polling station at the Embassy of Cuba in Norway opened for the referendum on the new Family Code.
There, all members of the staff of the Diplomatic Mission cast their votes, as well as a group of co-nationals who are in this country fulfilling official missions. Neisi Mena López had the honor of being the first to exercise the right to suffrage.
Cuba is present at the ISBN Annual General Meeting in Oslo, Norway
Oslo, September 7, 2022. After two years without face-to-face meeting due to the pandemic of Covid-19, the National Agencies from more than 150 countries gather again to address current issues on the ISBN, and Cuba is present.
The director of the Cuban ISBN Agency, Daymaris Cordero Martínez, is participating at the ISBN Annual General Meeting 2022, which takes place from today until September 9 at the National Library of Norway. She is representing the country's publishing sector and updating on correct uses of that important code for books.
Ambassador of Cuba to Norway holds a meeting with the Secretary of State of the Ministry of International Development
Oslo, August 30, 2022. The Cuban ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, was received by Bjørg Sandkjær, State Secretary of the Ministry of International Development.
At the meeting, which took place in a cordial atmosphere, they reviewed the positive relations of cooperation existing between the two countries, in which the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) has played a prominent role. In this context, the current situation, results and perspectives of bilateral collaboration projects developed in recent years in several sectors were assessed.
Relations of cooperation in the academic sector are strengthened between Cuba and Norway

As part of the existing cooperation between the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana and the Department of Foreign Languages of the University of Bergen, within the framework of the Erasmus Plus program, the Cuban researcher and professor Elisa García González has started a research stay of a month and a half to complete her doctorate in Hispanic Linguistics.
