We honor his struggle against imperialism, for a Cuba that provides access to healthcare for not only the people of Cuba, despite facing an imperialist blockade, but to millions of people around the world, a Cuba that helped end Apartheid and helps people around the world in the face of natural disasters. Doctors, not bombs!

Oslo, August 13, 2022. The staff of the Embassy of Cuba in Norway, led by the Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, commemorated the 96th anniversary of the birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
The Chargé d' Affaires a.i of the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Orlando Ortegano Quevedo; his wife, Rosalva Azuaje de Ortegano, and the Counselor, Marynna Saatdjian, participated as special guests in the activity organized for such a significant date.

The Norway-Cuba Friendship Association (Cubaforeningen i Norge) expresses its unwavering solidarity and support for the Cuban people in the face of the tragic disaster that struck the Supertanker Base in Matanzas last Friday. We send our condolences and love to the families and friends of those who have died, who were injured, and who are still missing following the devastating fire.

Donation from Norwegian friends to Cuba as aid for damages caused by fire in Matanzas
Oslo, August 9th, 2022. Sincere thanks to Norway-Cuba Friendship Association for the decision to donate NOK 50,000 as aid for the damages caused by the fire at the supertanker base in the industrial zone of Matanzas.
Thanks also for launching a campaign to raise more funds.
