A group of British MPs, peers and trade union leaders gathered outside the UK Parliament to express their firm rejection of the Trump administration’s escalating hostile actions against Cuba. They also called for a public stance of opposition to any threat of military intervention.

In the United Kingdom, the University of Nottingham's Centre for Cuban Studies serves as a vital bridge, bringing researchers and students closer to the reality of the island, supported by the Hennessy Collection, which, with more than 1,400 volumes, magazines and newspapers published since the 1960s, represents an invaluable tool for the international public to understand Cuba directly from its documentary sources.

London, 28 January – The historic ties of solidarity between the British trade union movement and Cuba were once again evident during the meeting between Ambassador Ismara Vargas Walter and Paul Nowak, General Secretary of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), at the organisation's headquarters in London.

On 21 October, in London, the Cuban Embassy, with the support of the Campaign for Solidarity with Cuba (CSC), hosted an unforgettable gala in celebration of Cuban Culture Day. Entitled ‘Cuban Mosaic: A Night of Identity and Resilience,’ the event brought together Cuban artists and friends of the island in the United Kingdom to offer a broad and exciting sample of our music, dance and poetry. The result was a vibrant and emotional evening at the Bolívar Hall of the Venezuelan Embassy in the United Kingdom.
