Paris, November 22 - The 19th edition of the European Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba will start today in this capital with around 280 delegates representing a hundred associations from more than 25 countries.
The two-day forum will be held at the headquarters of the French Communist Party and will be attended by solidarity, youth and women's organisations, political forces, trade unions and other social actors from the region.
Manchester, 16 November - The Cuban Ambassador to the UK, Ismara Vargas Walter, participated in an important event of solidarity with Cuba organised by UNISON North West at the historic Mechanics' Institute in Manchester. The event was attended by four UNISON regions, each presenting their projects in support of the Cuban people.
London, Nov 18 (Prensa Latina) A new edition of the film festival Screen Cuba: Films to Change the World is in the works in the United Kingdom and promises to showcase part of the Caribbean island’s extensive cinematographic production.
The event will screen films that are part of the best of Cuban cinema from the 1960s to date, according to Cuban diplomatic sources.
London, November 9, Cuba's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ismara Vargas Walter, participated in an emotional celebration of the anniversary of the Great October Revolution organized by the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB-ML). This event commemorated one of the most important moments in the history of socialist and communist movements worldwide, whose influence has been transcendental for humanity and for the development of liberation struggles in Latin America, including the Cuban Revolution.
London, 31 October 2024. British academics from the Nottingham University Parvathi Kumaraswami and Antoni Kapcia, who study and disseminate Cuba's historical and cultural memory, were awarded Cuba’s Distinction for National Culture at the 30th edition of the Fiesta de la Cubanía in Bayamo, in the province of Granma. Their outstanding contribution to the promotion and preservation of Cuban history and culture was, therefore, recognized.
