Havana, May 02, 2023 - The Friends of Cuba Society in South Africa (FOCUS) was present at the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, that was held on Tuesday at the Havana Convention Center.

April 28, 2023.- The Embassy of Cuba in South Africa received today several representatives of the leadership from the National Union of Mine Workers, who will travel to Cuba with the aim of participating in the International Meeting of Solidarity with the island, organized by ICAP and that will take place in the early days of May.
Cuban Ambassador to South Africa participates in tribute to Chris Mathlako
April 28, 2023.- The Ambassador of Cuba to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, participated in the tribute held in the city of Johannesburg to the South African communist and great friend of Cuba, Chris Mathlako, who recently died. Ambassadors from other countries and multiple South African organizations also participated.

April 27, 2023.- The Cuban Ambassador to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, participated in the celebrations held in Klerksdorp, North West province, on the occasion of the National Independence Day. The President of the Republic, Cyril Ramaphosa, as well as other government authorities also participated.

April 26, 2023.- The South African Company, Mzansi Ballet, directed by Dirk Badenhorst, premiered the show "The Gold Rhino of Mapungubwe" which features talented Cuban dancers graduated from the National School of Art. This amazing piece of art highlights the importance of keeping history and traditions alive.
