The Most Reverend Martin Modéus, Archbishop of the Church of Sweden, receives the Ambassador of Cuba
Stockholm, March 28 - During the visit made by the Ambassador of Cuba, Alba Soto, to the City of Uppsala, she was received by the Most Reverend Martin Modéus, Archbishop of the Church of Sweden.
In the courtesy meeting requested by the Cuban diplomat, she offered information to the Most Reverend about current Cuban affairs and the actions taken by the Cuban State to guarantee the exercise of various religious beliefs as well as respect for the rights of those who profess them.

With the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in January 1959 also came the great confrontation with the United States government. Not with the American people but with the overseers of the rich of the world, because the American government is only a submissive employee of capitalist economic power.
Zoltan Tiroler receives the Friendship Medal awarded by the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba.
Stockholm, March 16, 2024 - On the occasion of the Annual Assembly of the National Board of the Swedish-Cuban Association, Zoltan Tiroler received the Medal of Friendship awarded by the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba, at the proposal of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

De senaste åren har varit ekonomiskt och politiskt tumultartade, inte bara för Kuba och Sverige, men för hela världen. När vardagen har präglats av pandemi, ekonomisk kris och krig, så tvekar inte USA-imperialismen och dess lakejer i Nato och EU att visa sina fula trynen världen över.
Imperialismens grepp hårdnar just nu, våra politiker här i Sverige har efter en utdragen process tvingat in oss i terroralliansen Nato.

Kamrater, Kubavänner! Det är härligt att vara här, och jag ska börja med att tacka för inbjudan till ert årsmöte, som jag hoppas har varit produktivt och stärkande.
Den Svensk-Kubanska föreningen är ett ljus i Sveriges politiska mörker. Medans våra riksdagspartier rör sig allt längre högerut, och Svensk utrikespolitik för varje år knyts allt tätare till imperialismen, står ni fast rotade i den internationella solidariteten. Ert arbete och er känsla för syskonskapet mellan alla världens folk är en förebild för anti-imperialister över hela landet.
