Enforcement of the U.S. blockade in Argentina forces Cubana de Aviación to suspend flights

In March 2024, the company Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales S.A. (YPF) of the Republic of Argentina informed the airline Cubana de Aviación of its refusal to continue supplying fuel to its aircrafts, in application of the United States blockade against Cuba.
The claws of the blockade extend to Argentina: Cubana de Aviación suspends flights due to supplier refusal
Cubana de Aviación SA announced the cancellation of flights CU360/CU361, scheduled for April 23 and 24, 2024. This decision is due to the refusal of aviation fuel supply companies in the Republic of Argentina to provide service to the airline, invoking the provisions of the United States blockade measures against Cuba.
Furthermore, this refusal has been extended to other airlines contracted by Cubana de Aviación, in order to provide due protection and transfer the affected passengers. This has prevented the airline from fulfilling the commitments made to passengers.
Calling for the VIII International Seminar for Peace and the Abolition of Foreign Military Bases

Cuba remembers victory over mercenary invasion in 1961
Havana, April 19 (Prensa Latina) With the victory of the mercenary invasion of Playa Girón, on a day like today, April 19, 1961, Cuba demonstrated to the world its willingness to defend with arms the revolutionary process begun on April 1. January 1959.
After tough fighting after the landing three days before of some 1,500 mercenaries in that area of the Zapata Swamp, in the western province of Matanzas, the forces of the Rebel Army, the National Revolutionary Police and the popular militias defeated the invaders.
