Counselor for Turistic affairs in the Embassy of Cuba travel to nordic countries to continues to promote Cuba as a destination in the region

Stockholm, August 5, 20236- Eddy Santos, Counselor of the Embassy of Cuba in Sweden in charge of the tourist affairs for the nordic countries, had a fruitful work tour in Norway.

During the week of July 31 to August 3, several tour operators and the Nordic Atlantic airline visited Norway to achieve new operations in Cuba and consolidate projects of operators that have worked with the island before.

Commemoration in Sweden of the 70th Anniversary of the Assaults on the Moncada Barracks and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes

Stockholm, July 29, 2023 - The Embassy of Cuba in Sweden gathered this Saturday numerous friends from various solidarity organizations and Cubans residing in the country to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks.

The meeting honored the heroic deed led by Fidel Castro and the Centenary generation, who began to forge the path to the liberation of Cuba on July 26, 1953.

Swedish solidarity united in commemoration of the Day of National Rebellion

Stockholm, July 26, 2023. In one of the most emblematic squares in Stockholm, the Embassy of Cuba in Sweden joined the celebration for the 70th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks. Friends of solidarity with Cuba, Cuban residents and occasional passers-by gathered to commemorate Cuba's National Rebellion Day.

Chargé d'Affaires a.i of the Embassy of Cuba in Sweden Highlights Solidarity and Commitment at the Summer Camp of the Communist Party KP

Stockholm, July 21, 2023.  Yohanna Cordero, Chargée d´Affairs a.i of the Embassy of Cuba in Sweden,  visited the Summer Camp that the Communist Party (KP) has organized for 50 years.

During her speech, the Chargé d'Affaires updated those present on the situation in Cuba, the status of the process of updating the economic-social model of the island, as well as the gratitude of our people and government for the support provided all these years, by the solidarity friends of Sweden and the KP, to the Cuban Revolution.

CUBA REJECTS PRESENCE OF US NUCLEAR SUBMARINE IN THE GUANTANAMO BAY

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly rejects the arrival of a nuclear-powered submarine in the Guantanamo Bay on July 5, 2023, that stayed until July 8 at the US military base located there, which is a provocative escalation of the United States, whose political or strategic motives are not known.
