Cuba in Sweden

Ambassador of Cuba participates in an exchange with the board of the Stockholm branch of the AASC.

In the context of the annual meeting of the Stockholm branch of the Swedish-Cuban Friendship Association (AASC), the Ambassador of Cuba, Alba Soto Pimentel, held an exchange with the participants.

The occasion was propitious to provide information on Cuban and the challenges the Island face. In her speech, she referred to the tightening of the blockade against Cuba and its consequences, including the application of Title III of the Helms Burton Act. Finally, she thanked the permanent complaint that solidarity friends make of the blockade.

Swedish ship visiting Havana

Solidarity and friendship between peoples is once again present with the visit to Havana of the Swedish ship TS Gunilla.

 

After two years, the stay on the Caribbean Island of this sailboat is resumed with students and teachers, who are interested in knowing first-hand the reality of Cuba while sharing and learning about the traditions and daily chores of the Cubans.

 

The young people, mainly from the city of Öckerö, will develop a program of visits to places of interest and will hold meetings with young Cubans.

 

Homage to José Martí and celebrations for the triumph of the Revolution from Sweden

Stockholm, Sweden- January 28, 2023- Solidarity friends, Cubans living in Sweden and members of the Swedish Communist Party, met this January 28 at the Cuban Embassy, ​​to celebrate the 170th anniversary of the birth of José Martí and the 65 of the triumph of the Revolution. There was also a representation of Cubans residing in Iceland through videoconference.
