Uganda and Cuba for the promotion of economic-trade relations.
Kampala. The Honorables Jessica Alupo and Salvador Valdés Mesa, vice presidents of Uganda and Cuba, respectively, presided over the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the promotion of a compensated trade agreement between both countries.
This agreement is part of the efforts to promote economic-trade relations and constitutes a new example of political will in total adherence to the principles of South-South Cooperation.
New encounter between the vice presidents of Cuba and Uganda.
Kampala. The Honorables Jessica Alupo and Salvador Valdés Mesa, vice presidents of Uganda and Cuba, respectively, held a second bilateral meeting within the framework of Cuban participation in the Summits of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Group of 77+China held in Uganda.
Following the reopening of the Ugandan Embassy in Havana in September 2023, this was a new opportunity to reassess the state of bilateral relations and adopt new commitments to promote them.
