Cuba in Uganda

The Cuban Ambassador hots the leader of the government party of the Ugandan Central Kabale community.

Kampala. On October 17, Tania Pérez Xiqués received Arin Sam, leader of the Uganda National Resistance Movement Government Party in the Kabale Central region.

During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat offered information on the challenges in the economic, political and social order.

Likewise, she updated the current status and perspectives of bilateral relations between Uganda and Cuba.

For his part, the Ugandan political leader explained the priorities of the governing party's work in the town and the importance they attach to the training of new generations.

Cuban Foreign Minister presents Report on Cuba's Resolution against the Blockade. 2023

Havana. On October 18, 2023, Bruno Rodriguez Parilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, presented to the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Cuba the Report of Cuba pursuant to Resolution 77/7 of the United Nations General Assembly, entitled “Need to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba."

The head of Cuban diplomacy denounced that the accumulated damages due to the application of this policy amount to 159 thousand 84.3 million US dollars.

Cuba re-elected member of the Human Rights Council.

New York. Last October 10, on a date of great symbolism, Cuba was elected, for the sixth time, a member of the Human Rights Council, in the plenary meeting convened by the 78th UN General Assembly.

 

Cuban Ambassador hosts Ugandan parliamentarian

Kampala. On the morning of October 5, the Cuban Ambassador Tania Pérez Xiqués received the Ugandan representative Honorable Aley Judith who is also a member of the Uganda-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group.

The Ugandan parliamentarian who serves as president of the Lango Parliamentary Group was interested in the state of bilateral relations between Cuba and Uganda and the bilateral program developed by the Ugandan delegation that participated in the Summit of the Group of 77 in Havana, Cuba.

Foreign Ministers of Cuba and Rwanda hold bilateral meeting

Havana. Within the framework of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Group 77 plus China, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republics of Cuba and Rwanda held bilateral talks.

At the headquarters of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, after evaluating the state of bilateral political relations, both Foreign Ministers signed an Agreement on Regular Political Consultations and another on Visa Exemption for diplomatic, official and service passports.

Cuba and Rwanda established diplomatic relations in September 1979.
