Deputy Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament hosts the Ambassador of Cuba
Kampala. On the morning of October 25, the Honorable Thomas Tayebwa, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Uganda, received Ambassador Tania Pérez Xiqués, at the headquarters of the legislative body.
The Cuban Ambassador thanked the meeting and updated the parliamentary leader on the state of Uganda-Cuba bilateral relations and the preparations for the celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations in 2024.
Cuban Embassy celebrates 60 years of Ugandan diplomacy
Kampala. On the night of October 25, the Cuban Embassy celebrated the 60th Anniversary of Ugandan Diplomacy.
The Ambassador of Cuba Tania Pérez Xiqués pointed out as a duty to recognize the long path of 60 years of Ugandan diplomacy, its contribution to the political life of the nation and the ability to overcome new and growing challenges.
She added that next 2024 would be a time of professional growth for Ugandan diplomacy as it assumes the presidency of the G-77 + China group and that of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Meeting between parliamentary delegations of Cuba and Burundi
Luanda. Within the framework of the 147th Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union, the delegations of Burundi and Cuba held a fraternal meeting.
Led by the president of the Burundian Senate Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera and the president of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Rodolfo González Patricio, both delegations exchanged on the potential for cooperation between both legislative bodies.

During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat explained preparations being made to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2024 , addressed the characteristics of education in Cuba, as well as the potential for bilateral cooperation.
The Cuban Ambassador hots the leader of the government party of the Ugandan Central Kabale community.
Kampala. On October 17, Tania Pérez Xiqués received Arin Sam, leader of the Uganda National Resistance Movement Government Party in the Kabale Central region.
During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat offered information on the challenges in the economic, political and social order.
Likewise, she updated the current status and perspectives of bilateral relations between Uganda and Cuba.
For his part, the Ugandan political leader explained the priorities of the governing party's work in the town and the importance they attach to the training of new generations.
