Youth Ambassador for Africa pays a courtesy call to the Ambassador of Cuba.

Kampala. On the morning of August 7, Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiqués hosted Luimbaazi Issah Katungulu, Youth Ambassador for Africa of the Klorld African Diaspora Union Organization.

 

The leader of the youth non-governmental organization presented the main projects promoted to support the insertion of young people in the economic and social life of the African continent, as well as the importance given to greater knowledge of the experience of the Cuban Revolution and the priority given to the formation of the new generations.

 

Ambassador of Cuba pays a courtesy call to the Political Director General of the Uganda Foreign Ministry.

Kampala. On the morning of August 4, Tania Perez Xiques, Head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission was received by Ambassador Philip Odida, Director General for Regional and International Political Affairs of the Ministry of Relations of the Republic of Uganda.

The Cuban diplomat thanked this first meeting with the recently appointed Ugandan official and the possibility of evaluating the current state of bilateral political relations.

Cuba and Uganda exchange on preparations for the G-77+China Summit.

Kampala. Between May 15 and 19, a delegation headed by Ambassador Pedro Luis Pedroso, Special Representative and Coordinator of the Presidency of Cuba of Group 77 plus China, visited Uganda, country who will host the Summit of Heads of State of said group to be held in January 2024.

During his stay, he developed a program that included exchanges with the Organizing Committee of the event and with the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as well as toured the main facilities prepared to host this great event.

Cuba and Uganda discussed about bilateral cooperation relations in the education sector.

Kampala. On May 9, the day Cuba and Uganda celebrated 49 years of diplomatic relations, the Ministries of Education of both countries held a virtual exchange to discuss cooperation in the education sector.

 

The Ugandan delegation was chaired by Dr. Jane Egeu, Permanent Under Permanent Secretary and the Cuban delegation by Yipsian Rodriguez, Head of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education.

 

The rich exchange concluded with the commitment to work together to contribute to the improvement of this education in the African nation.
