Cuba receives aid donation from United Nations Development Program
Havana, June 15, 2020- The Cuban Ministry of Agriculture received a donation from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to provide protection against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The equipment is intended for workers in the agricultural sector in the central provinces of Villa Clara and Sancti Spíritus, as well as in Granma and Santiago de Cuba, in the east of the island.
Cuba sends doctors to Turks and Caicos Islands to deal with Covid-19
Havana, Jun 15 (Prensa Latina) A new Cuban medical brigade, from the Henry Reeve contingent specializing in disaster situations and serious epidemics, arrived today in the British territory of the Turks and Caicos Islands to combat Covid-19.
The Minister of Health and the Deputy Governor of this region welcomed the new group, made up of 20 health professionals, of which 12 are women.
International cooperation does not stop, Eugenio Martinez, director general for Latin America and the Caribbean at the island's Foreign Ministry, said on Twitter as he shared the news.
Cuba highlighted the achievements of women at the United Nations in Vienna

Ambassador Loipa Sánchez Lorenzo highlighted the achievements of Cuban women in an event organized by the Commission on Narcotic Drugs and the Commission for the Prevention of Crime and Criminal Justice of the United Nations Office against Drugs and Crime, in commemoration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the celebration of the IV World Conference on Women and the approval of the Beijing Declaration and Plan of Action.
Cuba and the Kindom of Lesotho celebrate the 41st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations
Pretoria, June 14, 2020.- Today, we celebrate the 41st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the Kingdom of Lesotho. Since the formalization of their ties in 1979, relationships have permanently strengthened on the basis of friendship and cooperation.
We proudly highlight the almost two decades of the Cuban medical cooperation with Lesotho, started in 2002. In that nation African currently serves a Cuban medical brigade which has wide recognition from the authorities and the Kingdom population.
