“Nuestro Martí” 3D short film is presented in New York.
New York, 28 January 2017. Dr. Eusebio Leal Spengler, Historian of the City of Havana, participated in the presentation in the United States of “Nuestro Martí” multimedia short film, which is the product of a collaborative effort involving the Office under his leadership and the Google Company.
The event, held at the Sikkema Jenkins & Co art gallery in Manhattan, involved the participation of a large number of personalities of the field of culture, scholars, businessmen and representatives of other sectors in the city.

As part of the High Level Dialogue “Building Sustainable Peace for all: Synergies between the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Sustaining Peace”, the Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, Ambassador Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, reiterated today that peace is much more than the absence of war while noting that sustainable and lasting peace cannot be achieved unless the complex problems of social and economic development affecting our nations are solved, particularly those of the South.

New York, 23 January 2017. Ambassador Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo presented credential letters today to the Secretary General of the United Nations, H.E. Mr. António Guterres, which accredit her as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cuba to the United Nations.

New York, 17 January 2017. Cuba, once again, condemned today the “very complex” situation in the Middle East, marked by “instability and insecurity”. At the Security Council Open Debate on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question, Ambassador Humberto Rivero Rosario, after mentioning statistics that describe the severity of the situation considered that the figures, as alarming as they seem, do not show the real magnitude of this reality for Palestinian families and for future generations of Palestinians.

On January 12 and 13, 2017, the U.S. Treasury Department imposed fines on the nonprofit organization Alliance for Responsible Cuba Policy (ARCP) and the Canadian bank Toronto Dominion (TD), for $10,000 and $955,750, respectively, for alleged violations of blockade regulations.
