New York, 30 November 2016.- Starting its monthly meeting, the members of the Group of Latin America and the Caribbean to the United Nations (GRULAC), observed a minute of silence to the memory of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
Within this framework, Ambassador Ana Silvia Rodríguez Abascal, Charge D’Affaires a.i. referred to the impact caused by such painful loss for the Cuban nation and for the world, and thanked group members for their expressions of support and condolences dedicated to the people and Government of Cuba.

New York, 29 November 2016.- The United Nations General Assembly started off its session today observing a minute of silence to pay homage to the recently deceased leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
The President of this Organ, Ambassador Peter Thomson from Fiji, conveyed condolences to the Cuban people and Government and requested that the formal session corresponding to Agenda item 35 “Question of Palestine”, would start with the tribute to Commander Fidel.
