Culture: bridge that unites the people of Cuba and the United States.

Representatives of various Cuban cultural institutions carried out a visit to US cities, among them New York and Tampa. The delegation held fruitful exchanges with representatives from the Joyce Theater, the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum, the Harlem Chamber of Commerce, the Museum of Jazz, the Center for Cuban Studies, the People's Forum, among others.

Blockade affects the agricultural and food branch of Cuba.

 Despite the considerable resources and efforts allocated by the Cuban State to the development of the agricultural sector, the impact of the blockade in this area is notable. Between March 2022 and February 2023, damages worth $273,390,800 are recorded.

US blockade affects development of Cuban sports movement.

The cruel blockade policy against Cuba has also represented an increase in the limitations and costs for the acquisition of sports equipment, fabrics, footwear, technical and pedagogical means, technological supports, among others, whose main market of origin is the United States. 

Cuba's educational system suffers effects of the US blockade.

The damage caused by the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the Cuban education sector was estimated at $75,551,799. In the National Education System, there are 1,315 institutions that require repair, calculating a total impact of 6,500,000 dollars. 

Cuba reiterates its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian and Arab cause.

The highest priority of the General Assembly must be to achieve an end of violence and the provision of urgent and sufficient humanitarian aid to address the catastrophic situation in Gaza, said Ambassador Gerardo Peñalver Portal, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, during the emergency special session on Palestine.
