Ambassador Gerardo Peñalver Portal denounced at United Nations Security Council that the United States blockade is the main obstacle to the food security of the Cuban people, has an overwhelming impact on all sectors of life and hinders the economic and social development and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

Officials and workers of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations, in New York, held a day in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, which included volunteer work and an act of celebration for the Day of National Rebellion.
