Prestigious jurists at the International Tribunal against the blockade of Cuba.

Prestigious jurists from Europe and the United States are part of the International Tribunal against the economic blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba more than 60 years ago.

According to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), the conclave will take place on November 16 and 17 in Brussels, capital of Belgium.

This Tribunal has the support of these representatives of legal organizations from Spain, Germany, Italy, Greece, Belgium and the United States, said the president of ICAP, Fernando Gonzalez Llort, at a press conference held on Thursday.

Cuba denounces in Unesco the US blockade and its impact.

Cuba denounced today at Unesco, through the voice of its Minister of Education, Naima Ariatne Trujillo, the blockade imposed by the United States and considered it a fundamental impediment to its development.

We are grateful for Unesco's support to counteract the impact of this unjust policy. Its contribution has come hand in hand with timely and responsible cooperation in all the areas of competence of the organization, she said when speaking at the General Policy Debate of the 42nd General Conference.

Cuban and U.S. art students exchange experiences

U.S. singer Norah Jones excited about trip to Cuba.

American singer, composer, pianist and actress Norah Jones expressed today feeling excited about her first trip to Cuba, in February next year, as part of a cultural and educational exchange.

"I look forward to learning more about the country's rich musical heritage and sharing my music through two shows at the historic Teatro Martí on February 17 and 18," Jones said in making the announcement on social networks.

Chancellor highlighted UN condemnation of Cuba's inclusion on U.S. list.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today considered significant the reiterated condemnation at the UN General Assembly of the inclusion of his country in the unilateral and spurious list of countries called sponsors of terrorism.

This list has "slanderous political implications, in very diverse matters", but it has a truly extreme impact on the international financial system, said the head of state during an interview with the multi-state television channel Telesur.
