Cuba will reiterate its denunciation of the U.S. blockade on May 1.

Cuba will denounce the cruel and criminal blockade imposed by the United States on International Workers' Day, President Miguel Díaz-Canel announced today on his official Twitter account.

The head of state reiterated on the social network that the celebration will take place in several squares of the country.

Ulises Guilarte, secretary general of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba, recently announced changes in the traditional format of the May 1st celebration on the island, due to the difficult situation the country is going through, especially with the fuel supply.

Young people from the U.S. meet with Cuban Foreign Ministry authorities.

More than 150 young leaders of social movements and organizations from the United States who are visiting Cuba held a dialogue today with authorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex) of the Caribbean island.

The Foreign Ministry detailed on Twitter that the deputy director for the United States of the Minrex, Johana Tablada, thanked the participants for their empathy and friendship that strengthen the hope of improving relations between the largest of the Antilles and the northern nation, compensating for the pain caused by the U.S. blockade.

Panamanian workers take solidarity to Cuba against US blockade

Invited to attend the May Day activities in Cuba, Panamanian trade union leader Cristobal Souza affirmed today that they are taking a message of solidarity condemning the US blockade.

In declarations to Prensa Latina, the secretary of inter-union relations of the National Confederation of Independent Trade Union Unity (Conusi) indicated that he will join other representatives of the working class of the isthmus to demand the cessation of the hostile policy which has proven to be a failure.

Caravans to ask the U.S. to end the blockade of Cuba will take place on May 1

The traditional world caravans to demand the United States to lift the blockade against Cuba will take place next May 1, informed today the leader of the Bridges of Love movement, Carlos Lazo.

In exclusive statements to Prensa Latina, the activist urged all friends of the island who participate in the activities carried out every last Sunday of every month to demand the end of Washington's punitive policy, to do so on this occasion as part of the activities to be held for the commemoration of International Workers' Day.

Large delegation of U.S. youth travels to Cuba

A delegation of 150 young leaders from U.S. social movements and organizations will travel today to Cuba, where they will carry out an extensive program of activities and participate in May Day celebrations.

"As young leaders in the United States we want to affirm our right to learn, exchange and build with the Cuban people who live under cruel sanctions and remain on the list of state sponsors of terror for no credible reason," said activist Manolo de los Santos.
