Andre Lewis, general president of the Technical and Allied Workers Union of Grenada, has urged the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to strongly condemn what he describes as “barbarism” by the United States against Cuba. In a public statement, Lewis denounced the blockade of oil and essential goods as a criminal and inhumane act that threatens the lives of millions of Cubans.
The Cuban State Mission in Grenada celebrated the 67th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution with the unity, commitment, and hope that the nation demands.
In her remarks, the Ambassador to the Island commemorated the historical leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, his legacy, and its enduring relevance today. She emphasized that in this centennial year, none of his ideas will be allowed to die, and the commitment to defending the achievements attained will be redoubled.
