St. George, 12 July 2022 - The Cuban Ambassador, Luis Ernesto Morejón Rodríguez, held a fruitful meeting with Dennis Cornwall, the new Minister of Infrastructure and Physical Development, Public Utilities, Civil Aviation and Transportation.
Cuba has signed agreement after agreement with the US for the orderly immigration of Cubans to the US over the years which the US never honors. Somehow they prefer the sensationalism associated with Cubans fleeing the country on rafts and floating devices at great risk to lives. They use this as a tool to paint the narrative that Cubans are fleeing in droves. If they allowed orderly immigration it would be no different from other countries with a different social system immigrating to the US just as Grenadians Trinidadians etc have done for decades.
REMARKS TO THE CUBAN CIVIL SOCIETY EXCLUDED FROM THE SUMMIT OF THE AMERICAS

Allow me to begin with words that were told more than one century ago:
“When a strong nation wants to fight a battle with another, it demands allegiance and service from those nations dependent upon it. The first thing a nation does to dominate another is to separate it from other nations.”

Statement by the Revolutionary Government
Havana, June 6th, 2022.- The US Government, abusing its privilege of being the host country, decided at a very early stage to exclude Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua from the 9th Summit of the Americas to be held in the city of Los Angeles this month of June. It has refused to attend to the just claims of many governments to change that discriminatory and unacceptable stand.
San George, May 24, 2022.- On Friday 27 of May, the XXI Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) will be held in Havana.
During the meeting, the nations that are part of Alliance will share common development strategies and analyze the regional political situation.
Grenada will be represented by its Minister for Agriculture, Forests, Lands and Labour, Honorable Peter David.
