The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba is planning to assist with education among other areas in Grenada.

The Ambassador His Excellency Luis Ernesto Morejón Rodríguez who took up office on December 14, 2021 has been busy making courtesy calls on the Prime Minister and other members of government.

As a holder of a degree in Education, an English Language Major, from the Enrique José Varona Higher Teachers’ Training Institute, Havana 1997, he expressed great interest in a request made by the Minister of Education Hon Emmaline Pierre to assist the “Yes I can programme”.

Cuban Ambassador met with President of Commercial and Industrial Workers Union in Grenada.

San George, January 25, 2022.- Cuban Ambassador Luis Ernesto Morejón Rodríguez, met with George Mason, President of Commercial and Industrial Workers Union in Grenada.

During the meeting, they agreed to continue working together to support the struggle of Cuban people against the US blockade.

The Union was founded in 1956 and has about one thousand and five hundred members across Grenada. It belong to Caribbean Congress of Labor and The Grenada Trade Union Council.

St. George, January 25, 2022.- The Cuban Ambassador, Luis Ernesto Morejón Rodríguez, met with Richards Peters, chief editor of The Grenada Informer newspaper.

During the meeting they agreed to collaborate together to inform properly about Cuba reality.

The Grenada Informer Newspaper was established in 1985 and is Grenada’s leading weekly. It covers the entire tri-island State and is currently printed in Trinidad. It is currently celebrating its 28th year of publication.
