Jamaica Peace Council nominates “Henry Reeve” Contingent for 2021 Nobel Peace Prize

Kingston, Jamaica, 7 December 2020. The Norwegian Nobel Committee today notified that the Jamaica Peace Council had completed the formalities required to officially nominate the International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disasters and Serious Epidemics "Henry Reeve" as a candidate for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.

The news was made public by the President of the Jamaica Peace Council, Hope McNish, after receiving the supporting email from the Norwegian institution.

The collective of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Jamaica commemorated this November 25 the fourth anniversary of the passing of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro. The political-cultural event took place on the premisses of the diplomatic mission, and was attended by a small group of people in strict observance of the country’s measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
