Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba
The threat of a direct US aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, spurred by the genocidal government of Israel became true, following the dastardly bombings against the nuclear sites of Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
Cuba strongly condemns these grave acts that represent a perilous escalation of the Middle East conflict and a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and international law.

The Cuban Government reiterates its deep concern and alerts to the imminent risk of intensification of Israel’s war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the threat of a direct attack by the United States and the danger that the conflict could go nuclear or that radioactive leaks may occur with disastrous and devastating consequences for humanity.

In front of the bust paying tribute to the Bronze Titan in Jamaica Heroes Park, members of the Cuban state mission in Jamaica, members of the Association of Cuban Residents (ACR) and the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, representatives of youth organisations and social movements paid tribute to two sons of the Revolution: Antonio Maceo and Ernesto Guevara de la Serna.
Kingston, 12 June 2025. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, received Dr Kevin Brown, President of the University of Technology, Jamaica, at the embassy headquarters.
During the exchange, the parties recognised the ties that unite Cuba and Jamaica in the field of education and the need to continue fostering bilateral links for human resources training. They also discussed possible areas of collaboration between the Jamaican institution and its Cuban counterparts, with a special emphasis on the sciences, health, and computing.
