The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, held a farewell meeting with the leadership of the PNP-Patriots, an organisation of young professionals affiliated with the People's National Party of Jamaica (PNP). The Patriots delegation was led by its president, Paul Blake.

The Third Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica, Anabel Landrón Ochoa, and the National Coordinator of the Educational Brigade, Yoendris Ramirez Figueroa, participated for the second consecutive year in the College Fair organised by Immaculate Conception High School.
Kingston, 16 October 2025. The Mayor of Kingston & St. Andrew, His Worship Andrew Swaby, received the Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, in a farewell audience.
During the friendly meeting, the Mayor recalled the historical, cultural and even family ties that unite the Cuban and Jamaican peoples, while reiterating his gratitude for the cooperation and support provided by our country to Jamaica, especially in the areas of health and education, an example of the brotherhood that unites the two nations.
Kingston, 15 October 2025. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, held a farewell meeting with the Minister of Tourism of Jamaica, the Honourable Edmund Bartlett, MP.
During the exchange, both parties recognised the historic relations that unite the peoples of Cuba and Jamaica, as well as the importance of continuing to promote multi-destination tourism for the development of both nations and the Caribbean region in general, in a context where cooperation rather than competition between tourist destinations should prevail.

The Cuban citizen José Daniel Ferrer García, accompanied by several members of his family, who are also Cuban citizens, has departed from the national territory of Cuba this October 13, 2025.
His departure from Cuba for the United States takes place in response to a formal request by the government of that country and the express consent of Ferrer García and in compliance with all law enforcement formalities established between both countries.
