Prime Minister of Jamaica congratulates the Cuban people and government on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution

Kingston, 30 December 2024. The Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, addressed a message of congratulations to the President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

The full text of the message follows:

On behalf of the Government and people of Jamaica, I convey warmest congratulations to the Government and people of the Republic of Cuba, on the occasion of the Sixty-sixth Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

Announcement by the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica

The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Jamaica informs all its customers that its consular office will not offer services to the public between 31 December and 3 January 2025, on the occasion of national holidays and the celebrations for the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.

The Consular Office will resume operations and services on Tuesday 7 January 2025.

We wish all customers a prosperous New Year 2025.

Former Jamaican prime minister denounces impact of genocidal blockade

The former Prime Minister of Jamaica and great friend of Cuba, PJ Patterson, denounced the harmful impact of the blockade imposed by the US against Cuba more than 6 decades ago, exacerbated by the Helms Burton Act, on our country's access to essential supplies and world trade.
