The agreement was signed by the Minister of Education, Youth and Information of Jamaica, Fayval Williams, and Ambassador Inés Fors Fernández, representing the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Cuba.

The Cuban ambassador to this capital joined the virtual panel entitled “Building Africa-Caribbean Solidarity in the Age of Global Pandemics”, organized by the PJ Patterson Centre for Africa-Caribbean Advocacy, on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the African Union and Africa Day.

New health professionals to reinforce the Cuban Medical Brigade in Jamaica.

Kingston, Jamaica, 11 May 2021. Yesterday morning, 32 health professionals arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston to join the Cuban Medical Brigade in Jamaica.

This group is part of the periodic renewal of medical personnel serving in Jamaica under a bilateral Agreement for Technical Cooperation. This time, 12 Cuban doctors and nurses returned to the Greatest Island in the Antilles, expressing their satisfaction at having fulfilled their honourable mission in the sister Caribbean island.
