Remembered the Commander in Chief in Jamaica, 95 years after his birth

Kingston, Jamaica, 13 August 2021. In a simple political, cultural and recreational activity, yesterday Friday the Cuban Embassy in Jamaica celebrated the 95th anniversary of the birth of the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.

In strict observance of the protection measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the celebration began with an audio-visual presentation about the Commander. Some participants recited poems and told anecdotes and experiences about Fidel. An exquisite Cuban soup enlivened the evening.

At the Antonio Maceo International Airport, Héctor Mustelier, from the International Relations Department in the provincial division of the Ministry of Public Health, thanked the gesture that provides much-needed means to care for patients infected with the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus.

In a brief but very emotional event held at the headquarters of the Diplomatic mission, staff members reaffirmed their commitment to the homeland and to the defence of the conquests of the Revolution, and expressed their solidarity with the Cuban people's struggle against the Covid-19 pandemic. They also condemned the US blockade and the aggressions promoted from abroad to subvert constitutional order in the island.
