The day of Cuban Culture is celebrated in Saint Lucia

The Vieux Fort Primary School was the venue this occasion for the activity in observance of the Day of Cuban Culture, organized by the Constituency Council and the Humanistic Solidarity Association (Saint Lucia – Cuba). The activity was presided over by the Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas, who addressed the origin of the Day of Culture and explained that October 20th,1868, the Cuban national anthem was sang for the first time.

The National Youth Council in Saint Lucia welcomes the Ambassador of Cuba de Cuba.

The new executive of the Saint Lucia National Youth Council, headed by its President Nyus Alfred, received last wedenesday the Ambassador of Cuba, Alejandro Simancas. At the meeting held at the Council’s Office, the Cuban diplomat explained to them the excellent state of bilateral relations, based on genuine and sincere friendship between the two peoples. He conveyed to them the will of the Cuban Government to continue strengthening ties and commented on the symbolism of this year, when we celebrated 40 years of establishing diplomatic relations.

Labor Party of Santa Lucia demands end of the blockade.

The Saint Lucia Labour Party held its annual conference at Stanley Jon Odlum High School, which was attended as a guest by the Ambassador of Cuba, Alejandro Simancas. During his speech the leader of this political force Philip J Pierre expressed his solidarity with Cuba and called for the removal of the trade embargo on Cuba and the immediate cessation of all economic and political sanctions contemplated or imposed on the people of Cuba by the United States government.

XIII Scientific Conference of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Saint Lucia

In the early hours of September 21st, 2019, the XIII Scientific Day of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Saint Lucia was inaugurated. Twenty-six research assignments (papers) were presented, 11 free topics between lectures and case presentations and 15 posters; some of the presentations are related to work results, others with experience during missions and other topics at the end.
