Cuban Ambassador participates in the Social Democratic Party's Red Carnation Ball

Vienna, February 1.  Ambassador Pablo Berti Oliva participated as a special guest at the Ball der roten Nelken (Ball of the Red Carnations) held in the city of Pölten, organized by the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ).

The diplomat attended in response to an invitation made by the mayor of Pölten, Mr. Matthias Stadler, who during the festivity, on behalf of the SPÖ, expressed his support for Cuba in the face of the intensification of the blockade.

Homage to the Apostle reiterates the need for Latin American unity

Vienna, January 28- The Cuban Embassy in Austria, together with friends of the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG), Cuban residents and the Latin American diplomatic corps in Vienna, paid homage to José Martí on the occasion of the 172nd anniversary of his birth.

During the ceremony held at the Plaza de los Próceres Latinoamericanos, on the banks of the Danube River, the attendees recalled the legacy of the greatest Cuban and reiterated their call for a united America.

On January 28, 1853, José Julián Martí Pérez, the National Hero of Cuba, was born in Havana, and today we gather in front of his bust in this Latin American square to pay tribute to him.
