Mayor of Sankt Pölten receives delegation from the Embassy of Cuba in Austria

An extensive program of work in the capital of the region of Lower Austria made a representation of the Embassy of Cuba in Austria, headed by the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Marieta García Jordán. The Cuban delegation was received at the City Hall by the Mayor, Matthias Stadler, who is also President of the Social Democratic Party (SPÖ) in Lower Austria and one of the Vice Presidents of that party at the Federal level; by the Federal Parliamentarian, Robert Laimer and by other members of the City Council.

Two great exponents of Cuban jazz and pianística, of recognized international prestige, Chucho Valdés and Gonzalo Rubalcaba, delighted the demanding Austrian public in a beautiful unique concert with four hands and two pianos offered yesterday in a crowded Great Hall of the Konzerthause, Vienna's main theater, which houses more than two thousand attendees.

Conference "Rosa Luxemburg" in Vienna devotes space to information and debate on the current situation in Cuba

Within the framework of the "Rosa Luxemburg" Conference, held for the first time in Austria; a panel was dedicated to Cuba; with the participation of the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy, Marieta García Jordán and the directors of the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association "ÖKG": Alfred Kohlbacher, President of the Curatorium; Hermann Pernestorfer, General Secretary and Marcus Strohmaier, Vice President.

Cuba signs a new agreement with the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID)

Vienna, March 1, 2018. A new Loan Agreement between the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) and the Republic of Cuba was signed by the Director General of that international organization, Hon. Mr. Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish and the Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Cuba in Austria, Marieta García Jordán; through which OFID will contribute to the financing of the Solar Energy Development Project in Cuba.
