The staff of the Cuban Embassy in Cyprus took part in the celebration of International Workers' Day in Nicosia's Freedom Square, together with several hundred friends, convened by the Cyprus Federation of Workers (PEO) and the Progressive Party of the Working People (AKEL).
Nicosia, 27 April 2024 - The Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, attended last Saturday 27 April, at the Pantheon Cinema, the screening of the Palestinian film "Farha".
The film, based on real events, tells the story of a Palestinian girl who, after convincing her father to continue her education in the city, sees her dream cut short by the harrowing events of the Nakba.
The Ambassador of Cuba in Cyprus, Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero participated in the afternoon of April 19 in the inauguration of the 25th edition of the Cyprus tourism fair "Travel Expo Cyprus 2024" which took place in the Convention Centre of Nicosia.
During the opening speech the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis highlighted the challenges faced by the industry in recent years. The fair, which has Greece as its guest country, will be open to the public until Sunday 21 April.
The Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus, Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero attended today the special screening of the documentary film entitled "Roll Call of the Missing", by director Constantinos Patsalides and writer/producer George Avraam about the missing persons of Cyprus. The screening took place at the EU House in Nicosia.
